Medicare in Spokane Valley
Spokane Valley has its own hospital, MultiCare Valley, and a lot of Rockwood Clinic primary care, which puts many residents on the MultiCare side of Spokane’s system split. A Providence referral to Sacred Heart is routine, and whether an Advantage plan covers both sides is the first thing to check. Kaiser Permanente Washington’s Spokane clinics are a third path with their own plans.
The Valley also has a large share of retirees who moved from the west side or from Idaho, and who keep Original Medicare with a Medigap policy so that Spokane’s hospitals, Coeur d’Alene’s and Seattle’s are all covered without a network question.
