Taos County offers a short Advantage menu, every Medigap carrier in New Mexico and the full Part D lineup. Holy Cross Medical Center is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, and for anything beyond it the road runs south to Santa Fe or Albuquerque, which a Medigap policy covers and an Advantage network may not. The villages of the high country — Questa, Red River, Peñasco — are farther still.
