Medicare in Alamogordo
Otero County offers a moderate Advantage menu, every Medigap carrier in New Mexico and the full Part D lineup. Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center, a 99-bed hospital that became the first in the country shared by active-duty military and civilians, is the basin’s hospital; CHRISTUS Health’s acquisition of it took effect July 1, 2026, and its Advantage contracts are worth re-checking this fall. Las Cruces and El Paso are the referral cities.
