Aflac Hospital, Cancer and Dental Insurance

These are limited benefit policies. They are not Medicare, a Medicare Supplement policy or a Medicare Advantage plan, and they do not replace major medical coverage.

Hospital indemnity insurance, as a kind of policy, pays set amounts when you are admitted to hospital, whatever the bill comes to. It sits beside your health coverage and does not replace it.

Cancer and critical illness
Cancer and critical illness insurance, as a kind of policy, pays a lump sum on a diagnosis the policy names, to spend however you need.
Not for you if you expect it to pay for an illness the policy does not name, or for one you already have.

Dental
Dental insurance, as a kind of policy, pays part of the cost of check-ups and dental work, usually up to a yearly limit and often with waiting periods for larger work.
Not for you if you need major work right away and would face a waiting period. Ask before you buy.
